SEA ELITE 2MM NEOPRENE SOCKS

In an attempt to make sure I am as warm as possible for the swim I once again headed to an on-line diving store for apparel. I do own a pair of Blue Seventy swim socks but am concerned that their primary purpose is to prevent foot injuries while walking on rocks rather than warmth.

So I went here and ordered a pair of these with expedited delivery.

I will be swimming in Lake CDA later this week with my new socks, and am hoping they make a small bit of difference.

Thanks for reading.

Hey it's almost up to 55!

Wish I had stock in neoprene booties right now.... :-)

No booties for me. My feet will go numb, but the drag..if any won't be worth it. Plus, not enough time to test them out.

I am still weighing the benefit of the socks/booties. If I wear them there is drag. If i don't and can't feel my feet getting out of the swim, that is no good either. I am going to try it out both ways in practice swims at IMCDA..

If your wetsuit is pulled down over the socks you probably won't have much drag.

Here's my question: Suppose we're in our little stockings and we decide that the water isn't THAT terrible and the socks just feet funny on our feet. If we slipped out of them and just let them go, could the judges ever trace them back to us and penalize us for littering along the course? :)

I could write Lovato in big letters in a Sharpie which could resolve Wedgie's question, but then again, probably not.
